ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Development Test Manager to join our Automotive Electronic Products (AEP) team as part of CompalUSA, work based in Goleta California. A hybrid work model combining the flexibility of remote work at home with the benefits of on-site collaboration in the Goleta, CA development facility will be employed. The Development Test Manager will be responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of infrared camera testing during development.
Major responsibilities:
Manage camera builds and testing to ensure product integrity. Tasks include planning and execution of internal and external environmental tests and tracking delivery of prototype test equipment hardware and software, plus camera material needed to build prototypes, e.g., sensors, optics, mechanics and electronic assemblies. Keep management informed of prototype camera builds & testing progress.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience or equivalent
- Bachelor of Science degree in technical discipline
- Automotive OEM test and/or project management experience
- Infrared technology experience a plus, e.g., principle of sensor operation, optics fundamentals, electronics, test methods and test equipment, etc.
- Experience preparing for and execution of Design Verification test plans, including management of internal and external test resources
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to drive effective and efficient team meetings as needed
- Working knowledge of common test management and project planning tools
