ABOUT THE ROLECompal is seeking a Senior Software Engineer Technical Marketing to support the integration of advanced software solutions into vehicle platforms and develop vehicle features through software implementation and testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong automotive software development and system integration background. Experience with Thermal Imaging Cameras, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and embedded software development is highly desirable. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and marketing insight to ensure that Compal's innovative solutions meet customer needs and market demands. The position will be located in our CompalUSA Michigan facility.
Key Responsibilities :
Software Development & Vehicle Integration :
Develop and integrate software solutions for vehicle systems, including ADAS and Thermal Imaging Cameras.Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless software functionality within automotive platforms.Implement and test vehicle feature software, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.Work with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to understand system architecture and software compatibility requirements.Software Testing & Validation :
Develop and execute test plans to validate software performance, reliability, and safety in-vehicle applications.Conduct software debugging and troubleshooting to optimize functionality.Implement simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing methodologies.Work closely with quality assurance teams to meet industry standards and compliance requirements.Technical Marketing & Product Strategy :
Support product positioning by translating technical capabilities into customer benefits.Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling software demonstrations and technical content.Assist in preparing white papers, case studies, and technical presentations for industry events.Conduct market research to identify trends and customer needs for future software innovations.Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.5 years of experience in software development, automotive engineering, or technical marketing.Strong programming skills in C , Python, or embedded systems languages.Experience with software integration for ADAS, Thermal Imaging Cameras, or vehicle telematics.Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.).Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally between engineering and marketing teams.Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive industry.Knowledge of cloud computing, IoT, and AI-driven vehicle technologies.Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.Experience with regulatory requirements for automotive software compliance.TRAVEL : Less than 20%
