What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Companion Opening-Hunting Hills/Every Other Sunday-8 am-1 pm position at Companion Home Care?
We need a mature woman to join our team to be a companion to a beautiful woman of 90 living with dementia. Twice a month you will provide standby support with making sure that she "remembers to have breakfast, light conversation, watch light TV such as Hallmark, accompany outside to work in her flower garden, and just be there to offer a helping cue or hand." No "Chattie Kathys." She is overwhelmed by too much excitement and conversation. Just be an easy listener and encourage walks around her neighborhood, baking cookies, tending to the flowers, and be support. It is an easy 5 hours with a sweet woman.
A good background and drug test will be required.
A good car and drivers license in case she wants to go for a ride. {.70 per mile reimbursement}
Sundays {Every other 8 am-1 pm)
