What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA Caregiver needed in Colchester, CT (Hoyer lift experience needed) position at Companions & Home Helpers, LLC?
We are seeking a PCA Caregiver for morning and evening shifts either 4 or 5 hour shifts starting as early as 8am and ending as late as 9pm.
This is not an overnight case!
Applicants must be ok with working either morning or evening shift from 4 to all 7 days per week.
The case is to take care of an elderly man in Colchester who has muscular dystrophy and needs provide personal care service.
HOYER LIFT EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
Responsibilities:
- Personal care assistance with focus on activities of daily living such as grooming, personal care, etc.
- Prepare and cook meals tailored to clients' dietary requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment through housekeeping duties
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients
- Transport client once a week on a needed basis for shopping, etc.
- Report unusual incidents or changes in clients' conditions to healthcare providers or supervisors promptly
- Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
Requirements and Skills:
- Previous experience as a PCA Caregiver with dementia training or experience required.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Strong commitment to punctuality and reliability.
- Dedication to maintaining health and safety standards at all times.
- Proficiency in housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
- Exceptional organizational skills and dependability.
- Excellent interpersonal communication abilities with a compassionate demeanor.
- Uphold high ethical standards in all interactions.
