- Ensure all safety and precautionary measures are met by adhering to company policy and state and federal regulations.
- Installs, inspects, tests, operates, and repairs of all electrical switchgear systems, branch circuits, power distribution wiring, electrical equipment, fixtures, and conduit.
- Must be able to troubleshoot lighting control systems and related components.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical devices, motor starters, relays, contractors, etc.
- Must be able to use a variety of electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot, test, and trace circuitry.
- Advises the supervisor on job progress and material/ labor requirements.
- Works with departments to plan and complete tasking.
- The ability to read, desing drawings, and wiring diagrams required.
- Completes preventative maintenance as scheduled and keep records.
- Responds to any emergency repair/maintenance as scheduled and keep records.
- Maintains critical inventory needed to keep operations running
- Maintains accounts for tools used.
- All other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Associate's degree in Industrial Electronics or similar field. (preferred)
- Minimum two years of electrical experience in an industrial environment.
- Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays.
- Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
- Ability to perform work without supervision.
- Necessary math skills - Addition, subtraction, and multiplication to record accurate reports.
- Essential reading and writing skills.
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Climbing stairs and working from secured platforms.
- Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions.
- Requires occassional stooping, kneeling, crounching, and crawling.
- Bilingual preferred but not required (English/Spanish).
