About this job:
I have a small but growing CPA firm offering accounting, tax, and advisory services to a wide range of clients. As I continue to grow, I am looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join my team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage incoming and outgoing payments, track outstanding invoices, and ensure timely processing of payments.
- General Ledger: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and company accounts regularly. Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Support management in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Tax Preparation Support: Assist in organizing and compiling data for tax filings, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Client Communication: Regularly interact with clients to gather necessary financial information and address any bookkeeping-related questions or concerns.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, or similar tools for data entry, report generation, and other bookkeeping functions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a CPA firm or accounting environment.
- Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Technical Skills: Proficient with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software), Microsoft Excel, and general office software.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and reliability in handling financial data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and basic tax regulations is a plus.
