Rockland County, NY – part of the NYC metropolitan area, west of the Hudson River, bordering northern New Jersey.  NYC area home  buyers who venture across the river to Rockland County often find a more creative community than in Westchester — and lower prices.  The Hudson’s left bank — where prices can be a third of those in Westchester — also seems more bohemian, with an enduring legacy of writers, painters, actors, filmmakers, and musicians.  Nyack is also impressively diverse.   Rockland County is designated as a “Preserve America Community” and nearly a third of the county's area is parkland. The county has the largest Jewish population percentage of any U.S. county, with over 90,000 residents.    

POSITION SUMMARY

• Currently seeking one (1) fellowship-trained Breast Imaging Radiologist to work in Nyack, New York.
• Desirable location just 30 miles north of Manhattan or Newark, New Jersey.
• Montefiore Nyack Hospital, a 391-bed community hospital serving Rockland County.
• The Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital offers world-class academic medical care close to home
• 215 shifts per year
• Full time, day shift, Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm
• No Call, No Weekends
• Must be able to perform procedures, US guided breast biopsy, stereotactic breast biopsy, needle wire localizations, etc.
• 2 years to partnership
• 9 weeks of PTO

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Residency training in Diagnostic Radiology from an ACGME accredited U.S. training program
• Fellowship training in Breast Imaging or Breast/Body Imaging.   Minimum of one year of fellowship training.
• Board eligible or certified by American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR)
• MQSA certification
• Licensed or has the ability to obtain a license in the state of New York
