Position Summary
Radiology Associates of Appleton (RAA) is seeking a full-time Interventional Radiologist to join our team. This position will share in the rotation in supporting IR/DR services at ThedaCare Medical Center in Appleton. This is a 1-year partnership track position with an opportunity for a significant equity ownership grant upon partnership. Candidates seeking part-time or full-time work will be considered. IR weekday and weekend call is shared equally and is considered light-moderate with infrequent call backs. We also employ 4 IR Advance Practice Providers to support the IR practice. No diagnostic call is required. The ideal candidate will be expected to read diagnostic cases including routine mixed emergency studies, CT, MRI, ultrasound and x-rays. Candidates with the ability to read PET imaging would also be considered a plus! This IR position will offer a diverse caseload including urologic, biliary, vascular access, biopsies, angiography, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty and embolization to include Y90. Our dedicated IR advanced practice providers support the department by performing IR light procedures (paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, thyroid fine needle aspirations). The candidate will also have the potential to build any areas of interest including oncologic interventions and pain management. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule: Full time | Onsite M-F 8am-5pm CST
- IR Weekday and Weekend Call is shared
- No Diagnostic Call Required
- Diverse IR caseload including urologic, biliary, vascular access, biopsies, angiography, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty and embolization to include Y90
- Ability to read General Diagnostic Cases required
- Ability to interpret PET preferred but not required
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology
- Candidates must be eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology
- IR Residency/Fellowship training preferred, but not required
- Wisconsin medical license or the ability to obtain is required
