POSITION SUMMARY
Radiology Partners is seeking a PRN X-Ray Technologist who will deliver quality patient care during x-ray procedures by exhibiting patience and a thorough knowledge of the examination.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicates and explains procedure with patient Prepare and position patient for diagnostic imaging procedure
- Position radiation protection devices such as lead shields
- Setting x-ray equipment at the correct angle and height over the appropriate area of the patient's body
- Setting controls on the x-ray machine to produce x-rays or radiographs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast
- Capture image of each angle following physician's orders precisely
- Evaluate image for quality
- Communicates with radiologists and personnel within other practices concerning patients
- Maintain patient records / documentation
- Ensures operation of equipment
- Performs required cleaning of room and equipment after each exam
- AART Licensure
- Current BLS Ability to use x-ray equipment independently
- Working knowledge of PACS system
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, health care professionals, and patients.
