Who We Are: Our story began in 1966 when Drs. Robert Taylor, Harris Knudson, and James Lum joined together to form Taylor, Knudson & Lum, a radiology and radiation oncology practice. The practice expanded in 1969 with the additions of Dr. Francis Esposito, followed by Drs. Richard Ellis and Paul Bandt in 1971. In 1977, the practice was renamed Desert Radiologists. In 1987, the practice relocated to the 2020 Palomino Lane building and still operates as an imaging center today. The practice name was officially changed to Desert Radiology in 2017. In June 2019, Desert Radiology (DR) and Radiology Partners (RP) announced their partnership.

Desert Radiology is seeking a patient-focused individual to join our growing team as the Senior Scheduling Coordinator.
Summary: The Senior Scheduling Coordinator addresses patient scheduling and eligibility functions for referring physician offices. Some responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments efficiently and professionally. They will handle incoming calls, utilize the radiology information system (RIS), advise referring offices of exam requirements, schedule patient exams, and other related responsibilities
Desired Professional Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of scheduling procedures, paperwork processing requirements, and various insurance coverages
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of authorization and eligibility practices, medical terminology and paperwork processing requirements. Familiarity with CPT and ICD-9 coding.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to keyboard proficiently
Pay for this position is $16.50 per hour.
