The Facilities Maintenance Manager is tasked with assisting in the management of normal maintenance, construction, or renovation projects for all current and future Company Wrench locations.
Position Responsibilities : Regularly maintains physical appearance and condition of assigned Company Wrench locations.
Regularly manages facility and construction vendors.
Adheres to budgetary requirements for each locations physical operation.
Regularly interacts with others as a part of operational requirements.
Regularly maintains files of documents related to facility operation and inspection.
Identifies opportunities for improvement in the physical operations and appearance of each location.
Assists in obtaining competitive pricing for physical operational requirements as needed by obtaining bids and / or recommending contracts.
Supervises staff, including hiring, scheduling, assigning work, reviewing performance, and recommends personnel actions.
All other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Supervisor Responsibility -
This position may supervise up to 3 employees at various sites.
Travel -
Extensive travel is expected for this position, including overnights.
Education and Experience -
High school or equivalent required; secondary education degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of commercial construction, renovation, and facility maintenance repair experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and / or software as required for records retention.
Required and Specific Requisites -
Excellent mechanical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to understand the English Language
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Ability to perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, framing, repairs and maintenance.
Thorough understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and associated building systems.
Accurate and precise attention to detail
Physical Requirements : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and / or move items over 50 pounds. The employee may spend prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne
particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. This is a Full-Time position. This position may be expected to travel up to 75% of the time. This position maintains standard office hours.
