OVERVIEW :
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Business Partner to join our growing distribution company. This is a stand-alone HR role, meaning you will have sole responsibility for supporting approximately 100 employees, overseeing all aspects of Human Resources. The HRBP will manage the full spectrum of HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, compliance, and payroll processing. This role is essential in fostering a positive and productive workplace while ensuring the company’s HR practices align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate HR records, including personnel files, I-9 forms, and EEO reporting.
- Develop, update, and enforce company policies and employee handbooks.
- Guide managers through performance reviews and development plans.
- Support professional growth initiatives and succession planning.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on workforce planning and HR trends.
- Prepare HR metrics and reports as needed.
- Process and manage bi-weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees using [insert payroll system].
- Ensure accuracy of timekeeping, deductions, and payroll taxes.
- Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees on HR-related issues.
- Handle employee concerns, mediate disputes, and support managers in addressing performance or conduct issues.
- Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, 401(k), and leave policies.
- Educate employees on benefits options and assist with open enrollment processes.
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings for managers, coordinating interviewing, and hiring.
- Develop effective onboarding programs to welcome and train new hires.
