POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms under supervision of housekeeping inspector/manager. Room attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, and friendly and should also be able to address guest requests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Dusts the room and furniture, replenishes guestroom and bath supplies, cleans the bathroom, closet, vacuums the carpet and replenishes amenities according to the operational standards.
- Delivers and retrieves items on loan to guests e.g. bath/shower chair, fan, pack-n-play.
- Ensures security of guest rooms and privacy of guests.
- Perform rotation deep cleaning duties.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
- Report guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- Empty trash containers.
- Remove all dirty terry and replace with the clean par to the designated layout.
- Replace facial, toilet tissue and bathroom amenities in correct amount and location.
- Inspect the condition of bathrobes and replace soiled/damaged ones.
- Remove dirty bed linen and make up bed with clean linen.
- Clean closets and door tracks on check-out rooms, removing dust and debris. Ensure correct amount and placement of hangers, extra blanket/pillow and luggage rack.
- Realign furniture to the floor plan.
- Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned to him/her.
- Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet.
- Follow DND policy.
- Follow Lost and Found policy
- Return and restock cart at end of shift.
PREREQUISITES:
· Must be willing to work holidays and weekends.
· Friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance required.
· Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend with ability to lift, push, and pull.
· Positive attitude and excellent communication skills a must.
