TITLE: Outreach Ministry Assistant (Administrative Assistant)

ROLE SUMMARY
Provide administrative support for the Outreach Team for both the Local and Global Outreach Pastors as Compass leads people to find and follow Jesus in our community and our world.

PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:
- Implement assignments given by the Outreach Pastors related to their ministry area. This may include a variety of assignments related to building ministries and providing direction and resources to ministry partners. Being proactive and taking initiative in order to make those things happen.
- Administration of weekly and ongoing ministry events including coordinating with other ministries to ensure the event is set up for success.
- Coordinating volunteers, trip registration, group information, purchasing airline tickets, and other data managed in the CCC database and other software (Managed Missions, etc).
- Organize short-term mission trip details for large groups of potentially inexperienced travelers to travel both domestically and internationally.
- Preparation and processing of financial paperwork related to the ministry including Purchase Orders, Visa Reconciliation, Check Requests, etc.
- Purchasing supplies and/or food for ministry events.
- Managing the pastor’s calendar by making appointments, scheduling meetings, and resolving any calendar conflicts. This may also include helping the pastor stay on schedule by reminding them of upcoming meetings or helping them to end meetings on time.
- Taking notes during meetings that include recording decisions, assignments, next steps, etc.
- Receive and screen incoming calls, take clear messages, and return calls.
- Any other assignments relating to the Outreach Ministry area.
ONGOING EXPECTATIONS
- Live out CCC Church strategy by engaging in a lifestyle of worship, community and serving.
- Live out the CCC Staff Values in relationships with other staff, congregation, and community.
- Empower volunteer Team Members by developing an Ephesians 4:12 culture in your ministry areas resulting in a high level of engagement.
- Serve at CCC Holiday Events and Special Events (e.g. Easter, Christmas, etc.). This might mean a change in your weekly schedule so that no overtime occurs.
- Intentionally mentor and/or coach all volunteer Team Members towards increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
- Maintain a balanced work schedule, working with CCC HR Team to keep track of vacation days, sick days, days off, make-up days, personal days etc.
- Maintain a flexible working schedule as determined by the needs of the ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS
This person must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as an executive administrative assistant in a large church, business setting, or equivalent. They also need to have spiritual giftedness in the areas of leadership, administration, and hospitality.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
