Objective:

•    Student Ministry: Navigate students to God by developing engaging programs and worship experiences that moves students, leaders and parents towards the next step in their faith. NFW Campus: Provide leadership and creative input to NFW campus weekend services and worship culture.
Essential Job Functions:
•    STUDENT WORSHIP PASTOR (PROGRAMMING)
o    Provide direct leadership and oversight to all student worship programming at the NFW Campus.
o    Oversee Programming line items in the budget and steward Compass Resources well.
o    Develop a strong worship culture that engages students and adult leaders spiritually.
o    Develop students interested in worship in their gifting, guiding them in their next steps in the developmental process. 
o    Help establish a culture of leader recruitment and set leader recruitment goals per semester.
o    Work alongside the Student Pastor to develop an online presence for student ministry (Social Media, YouTube, etc.). 
o    Help oversee merchandise designed and sold/given for student ministry as approved by communications 
o    Be the primary owner of Planning Center for weekly student programming, locking in all programmatic elements and scheduling two weeks before every event. Collaborate with the team Lead.
o    Oversee a group of staff/volunteer production team members, establishing a standard of excellence at all student environments. 
o    Develop and lead the Operations team, which champions operational tasks and ensures student gatherings are done with excellence.
o    Partner alongside other members of the student team to lead any student leadership teams. (Rooted, Summer Leadership)
o    Help lead and disciple students on the worship team. 
•    STUDENT TEAM MEMBER
o    Participate in either the Content or Events pod. 
o    Teach and preach when assigned. 
o    Meet with, care for, and develop Adult Volunteer leaders. 
o    Help set up and tear down for Wednesday nights. 
o    Participate in leader communication, parent communication, and staff communication. 
o    Work alongside the student team to plan camps, move up weekends, and any other large events that occur in a calendar year (Incl. Conference and Summer Camp)
o    Work with the compass student team to build “CS Worship” 
o    Attend all required meetings at Compass Christian Church (Staff and Team).
o    Uphold Compass Christian Church’s mission, core values and 12 staff commandments.
o    Every staff member is expected to fully engage in the ministry of the church.  This includes attending a weekend service, attending Rooted, and participating Compass Church’s generosity initiative.

•    NFW CAMPUS WORSHIP MINISTRY 
o    Lead on weekend stage up to 2 times a month or as the need arise.
o    Work alongside the Worship Pastor and creative teams in planning special services such as Christmas, Easter when invited
o    Participate in weekly worship meeting with worship pastors when possible

Work Schedule: 

•    Full-Time—expected to work “office hours” Monday-Thursday, attend weekend services, and lead student programming at the campus specific gathering times.  
•    Friday and Saturday are normally days off. 
 

Qualifications

Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Minimum of (1) year of experience in Student Ministry.
• Must have Biblical knowledge of why we worship and capable of leading a worship experience at a high level.
• Must have a servant’s heart for ministry, serving with a positive attitude and spirit
• Previous supervision experience is a plus
• Ability to handle the physical demands of this position which include sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time, and must be capable of lifting to 50 pounds on occasion
• Effective communication skills to communicate in writing and verbally with a variety of audiences.
• Microsoft Office products knowledge and experience
• Planning Center
• Be of moral and spiritual integrity in all areas of walk and life
• Have a sound knowledge of Scripture and an ability to teach effectively and apply Scriptural principles in all areas of ministry
• One to three years of experience in Worship Ministry
• Ability to work effectively in both the Student and Worship Ministry

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
