Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
- Ensure all new staff are trained on Federal Interim Final Rule and staff are re-trained on Federal Interim Final Rule routinely and ongoing.
- Ensure all community relationships supporting partnerships are viable.
- Provide oversight of data, evaluative tools, and survey information as necessary for the division.
- Ensure relevant program training remains updated according to local, state and federal policy.
- Ensure compliance dashboard reflects program critical action items.
- Investigate any reported issues and provide accurate reports in a timely manner to Senior Leadership.
- Ensure all policies and procedures support successful implementation and compliance with ORR’s Interim Final Rule.
- Participate in scheduled meetings, in-service training, and team decisions.
- Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor.
- Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.
- Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills as well as organizational and planning skills.
- Implement Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.
- Work collaboratively with the Programs to complete PSA related SIRs (Significant Incident Report).
- Maintain display of required PSA materials and handouts.
- Coordinate with the Program to complete PSA related trainings, briefings with the children in care.
- Maintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operations.
- Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Enforce Safety and provide supportive services to programs in the Residential Services Division in the areas of compliance, training, and policy.
- Be available to travel with minimum notice for any period of time that the assignment warrants.
- Ensure implementation of the Interim Final Rule as it relates to the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003.
- Ensure compliance with all facets of Federal Interim Final Rule.
- Serve as a liaison between Compass Connections headquarters and programs as well as State and Federal partners as it relates to related issues.
- Ensure training is available to staff according to need.
- Ensure critical action items are monitored as it relates to risk and safety.
- Investigate and report on highly sensitive issues related to compliance, employee relations, and safety.
- Work irregular days/hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends, depending on needs.
- Frequently transverse from one location to another.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
- Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
- Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have an excellent driving record.
- Demonstrate the ability to:
- Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
- Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
- Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
- Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
