It's a great feeling to work for a company that does so much good for others around the world!Academic Req : Required – Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of experience in child welfare administration and child protective services; Preferred – Master’s degree in social work or an equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science degree.Certifications : Administrator’s license, First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior interventionWork experience : Required – Five (5) years of experience in program management or as director of a licensed childcare program; Preferred – 6 plus years of experience in program management or as director of a licensed childcare programCritical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables : Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.Oversee and remediate deficiencies associated with federal and state standards and requirements.Conduct regular active and archival video monitoring of the site.Participate in service expansion planning, budget preparations and short- and long-term planning.Organize and participate in local and regional meetings with community entities.Plan and participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions and operations.Serve as a member of the Compass Connections Management Executive Council.Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by the position supervisor.Implement Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in the Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.Other Responsibilities : Hire, train, supervise and evaluate program personnel in accordance with agency policies and procedures and federal and state standards and requirements.Regularly observe and evaluate buildings, grounds, equipment, staff, children, vehicles and other program resources and address issues and problems as needed.Build and maintain relationships between Compass Connections and local facilities’ staff, federal Office of Refugee Resettlement staff, the legal representative(s) for children in custody, Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement, relevant consulates and others regarding children’s placement or release.Facilitate and / or supervise appropriate programming, treatment, and discharge planning for the service population.Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency policies and procedures and contract and regulatory requirements and standards.Frequently transverse from one area of the physical plant to another.Meet all deadlines required by program supervisor and federal partners.Foster Care Programs - Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents.Requirements : Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.Demonstrate the ability to : Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment.Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.Here at Compass Connections, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace.
