About this role:
At Compass ELC, you will work as an Administrative Culture Lead alongside some of the industry's most passionate, caring, and dedicated educators. You will spend your time engaging, connecting, and learning alongside children, families, community partners and co-workers. You willl support the administrative and licensing requirements within the program in support of the Operations, Human Relations, and Finance teams and work as a co-active lead with the Pedagogical Culture Lead. You will model and grow a perspective of equity and strive for a deeper understanding of cultural awareness.
You will work 35 hours a week Monday to Friday, in a split shift. Hours will vary based on the program needs between 7 am and 6 pm. This role will have full-time hours during non-instructional days including Summer Camp, PA Days, March Break, and Winter Break. The hours in ratio will be determined in collaboration with the co-Pedagogical Culture lead and program needs.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lives into and supports a kind, caring, and joyful work environment.
- Facilitate and participate in staff meetings.
- Attend Admin network meetings and All Leads meetings
- Support a culture of collaboration, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Administer payroll, billing, subsidy reconciliations, maintain staff files, and coordinate staffing needs.
- Support succession planning for both children and staff.
- Supports a successful implementation of the program budget in partnership with the team, co-leads, and finance.
- Adhere and support Ministry Licensing and Reporting Guidelines, CELC policies, and procedures.
- Build and maintain relationships with children, families, colleagues, volunteers, students, community partners, and school employees.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of equipment, furniture, and materials.
- Welcome new team members, families, and children into the program.

Skills and Qualifications
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Strong disposition towards administration, organization, research, and inquiry.
- Comfortable with technology and learning new software processes.
- A clear understanding of collaborative leadership, the CCEYA (Child Care Early Years Act), related legislation, and Compass ELC's policies and procedures, Vision Framework, Equity Statement, Program Statement and supporting a culture of inclusivity.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a licensed child care environment
- Minimum 2 years of administration experience (Preferred)
- Possess required training and documents as per Ministry of Education, Compass Early Learning and Care, and Child Care Early Years Act requirements.
- Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- Updated immunization records (Or a signed and notarized refusal of affidavit or medical exemption).
