Job Description
Compass Government Solutions LLC is looking for Pharmacy Technicians to provide services at the 23d Medical Group (23d MDG) at Moody AFB, GA. In preparation to bid on this contract, we are seeking qualified candidates willing to be included in our proposal as interested and skilled individuals.
The 23d Medical Group (23d MDG) at Moody AFB, GA s. Its primary mission is to maintain medical readiness for worldwide contingencies and provide quality, cost-effective health care to the patients supported. The clinic also provides Pharmaceutical, Radiology, and Laboratory Services to active duty, retired, and dependent populations.

Job Requirements
- Perform general administrative duties.
- Admit patients to the computer database.
- Input prescription and unit dose orders.
- Check patient computerized drug profiles and resolve discrepancies.
- Print labels and drug-filling lists.
- Restock dispensing equipment, shelves and patient care pharmacy storage locations/carts.
- File completed prescriptions accurately.
- Properly dispose of materials containing sensitive patient information.
- Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.
- Recognize and report unusual occurrences in medications.
- Interpret prescriptions and formulas for appropriateness.
- Confer with prescribers or patients to clarify prescription details.
- Select, weigh, measure, and combine drugs and chemicals.
- Prepare, package, and label prescriptions and drug orders.
- Instruct patients on medication usage.
- Dispense medications and supplies to patients and clinics.
- Confer with facility staff regarding drug storage and expiration.
- Serve as liaison between Medical Logistics and Pharmacy to resolve order issues.
- Learn and apply medical logistics functions.
- Coordinate with medical logistics for pharmaceutical orders and backorders.
- Develop proficiency in the Defense Medical Logistics Services System (DMLSS).
- Receive and issue pharmaceuticals.
- Safeguard pharmaceutical inventory.
- Rotate stock to ensure medication freshness.
- Remove and dispose of unsuitable drugs.
- Initiate defective drug product complaints.
- Maintain strict control over controlled substances.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Prepare all documentation to meet or exceed MTF standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate record keeping.
- Include all required information and signatures in records.
- Use only MTF and DHA approved abbreviations in patient health records.
- Refer to MDG instructions for the list of unapproved abbreviations.
Qualifications
- Be a graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or successful completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program (i.e., a technical, hospital or retail based program)
- Must be registered with the Board of Pharmacy and must be certified by either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- One year of experience within the last two years as a pharmacy technician or 6-months pharmacy technician student clinical rotation experience within the past 2 years
- HCW must maintain a full, valid, unrestricted, and current license
