Job Summary
The Catering Manager is responsible for the successful execution of all catering events at a high-volume account in Cambridge, MA. This position will support the sales, administrative, and event order communications, scheduling and training of staff, planning, delivery, set up, and clean up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily operations to ensure detailed execution of catering events.
- Lead and develop a dedicated team to achieve world-class service standards.
- Design and implement outstanding culinary programs aligned with company goals.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by encouraging a welcoming environment.
- Conduct financial management and analysis to resolve efficient strategies.
- Successfully implement marketing and sales initiatives to compete in the market.
- Coordinate special events ranging from small gatherings to high-end functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven hospitality knowledge with a dedication to balance and balanced food practices.
- At least two years of experience as a Catering Manager or Catering Supervisor.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse range of catering events, from intimate to large-scale.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse, high-volume customer base.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with web-based ordering systems and client management.
- Skilled in using word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to compose professional and efficient emails to clients.
- Adherence to company-specific uniform standards.
- Strict compliance with Personal Protective Equipment guidelines.
- Capability to work independently and problem-solve effectively.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
