Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Prep Cook to join our Culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is always provided.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meal Preparation - Obtains daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef. Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes. Completes orders from steam tables and grill and serves customers at multiple stations.
- Cleanliness - Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use. Complies with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Safety and Compliance - Completes and follows daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Tastes completed meals to ensure quality. Stores, labels, and dates all food items according to policy. Follows HACCP guidelines. Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
- System Knowledge - Takes orders from customer and prepare items requiring short preparation time. Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum (1) years of Food and Beverage service, Full-service Restaurant, and Food Preparation experience.
- Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors and other kitchen tools and machinery.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to follow recipes and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to (50) pounds.
- Valid ServSafe or state approved food handler’s certification.
