Job Summary:
Essential Job Functions:
· Ensure full compliance with all government food safety regulations and maintain the highest possible industry food safety ratings.
· Ensure the facility follows all USDA and FDA regulations, as well as GMP, HACCP guidelines, and company policies.
· Interact effectively with USDA officials and management to maintain positive, responsive relationships and ensure rapid corrective actions.
· Verify and ensure compliance with established food safety and quality objectives through daily monitoring programs, QC team supervision
· Implement new and improved quality, food safety, and sanitation programs, policies, and SOPs to ensure that established standards are consistently documented and maintained.
· Implement and verify the traceability plan to align with the Traceability Rule FSMA 204.
· Verify the implementation of Food Safety (CCPs) and quality documentation.
· Lead all aspects of environmental programs and plan changes based on needs.
· Oversee the MSS and support and guide sanitation and operations (as appropriate).
· Accurately and promptly collect and document data. Communicate and coordinate corrective action on deviations to uphold company standards and expectations.
Requirements:
· Knowledge and experience in food microbiology, food safety, and sanitation systems.
· Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively work with all managerial and employee levels; ability to communicate in Spanish is desirable.
· Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and use creative and innovative approaches to resolve complex problems.
· Knowledge of company procedures and expectations, with the ability to implement them with the workforce.
· Knowledge of HACCP and allergen requirements.
· Experience with FDA and USDA regulations.
· Proficiency in computer skills, including Office and Excel.
· SQF Practitioner or audit knowledge is desirable.
· Use of Redzone experience preferred.
