Job Summary
As a Sous Chef, you will be pivotal in managing the culinary operations, particularly during high-volume services catering to 3,000 individuals per session. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you'll help craft daily menus, oversee food preparation, and maintain stringent quality controls. Your role extends to managing cost efficiencies and spearheading innovative culinary initiatives alongside marketing and culinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on cost management and budgeting.
- Design and implement innovative menus and oversee execution at catering events.
- Launch new culinary programs in partnership with marketing and culinary departments.
- Supervise staff and play a key role in menu planning and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive experience in culinary management and high-volume food service operations.
- Experience with catering and event execution.
- Strong knowledge of batch cooking and institutional culinary practices.
- Expertise in food trends with a focus on quality, efficiency, and presentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, email, and internet tools.
- ServSafe certification is highly valued.
