Job Description
We are seeking a Cashier/Food Service Worker to join our team at Chartwells K12, a renowned provider of school nutrition services. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Operating the Point of Sale system with accuracy and efficiency.
- Assisting the Chef in food preparation, including meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts.
- Performing general cleaning duties, such as removing trash and garbage, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Providing exceptional customer service, including cashiering and serving hot and cold items to customers.
- Inventorizing and restocking supplies and food products, ensuring that all areas are well-stocked and ready for service.
- Serving on a rotational basis, which may include days off or variable schedules.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail, particularly when operating the Point of Sale system.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move quickly around the kitchen and dining areas.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays.
