Being part of MG Foods is about making a difference. As a Production Manager of Food, you will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the activities of production employees within a manufacturing food plant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Meet production
* Participate in food quality meetings
* Write daily and weekly production schedule using the master cycle menu
* Verify food safety records are completed
* Monitor proper portioning and standardized recipes are followed
* Investigate any overages or shortages
* Lead, train, & develop staff
* Ensure all tasks on daily production schedule are completed by staff
* Monitor labeling of all items with accurate information
* Verify and submit payroll
* Complete weekly inventory
* Implement all federal, state, and local regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
* USDA/FDA/SQF (Safe Quality Foods), HACCP or Fresh Prepared foods preferred
* Excel & computer skills
* Capable working in 34-40-degree temperature
* Ability to spend 80%-90% on the production floor
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changes
* Excellent knowledge of food with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, portion controls, and presentation a plus
* Four plus years of food manufacturing experience preferred
* A.A. Degree plus four years of directly related experience preferred
