You will also serve as a Case Manager for clients receiving support at the clinic, facilitating effective medication management and compassionate care. Key Responsibilities
- Strategically plan, organize, and coordinate the operations of the Medication Clinic.
- Prepare for and adapt to varying schedule changes while providing nursing coverage and training across neighboring clinics.
- Review and explain medication education materials to clients, ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
- Serve as a case manager for clients requiring medication refills, ensuring timely and accurate service.
- Maintain thorough documentation related to the medication clinic and psychiatric consultations for client records.
- Administer intramuscular (IM) medications, dispense samples, and manage accurate logs for all medications.
- Assist with prior authorizations for medications as required.
- Oversee the inventory of medications, coordinating ordering and delivery while monitoring for any side effects.
- Conduct vital sign assessments and facilitate the prediabetes screening process.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer usage and related software.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and effectively plan.
- Problem-solving aptitude and creative thinking abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to valuing diversity.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
- GPN, LPN, GN, or RN licensure is required, with the need to pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
