Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough substance use assessments and monitor clients’ readiness for change and treatment progression.
- Employ outreach strategies and motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients effectively.
- Implement cognitive behavioral approaches and relapse prevention strategies tailored to individual needs.
- Provide individual counseling sessions focused on co-occurring disorders, while facilitating educational and process groups.
- Collaborate on the development and review of personalized wellness plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records in accordance with organizational policies.
- Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and regular team meetings, contributing to skill modeling and cross-training initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral approaches.
- Ability to engage with clients compassionately and effectively in various settings.
- Experience in developing wellness plans and managing case records.
- A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Current certification as a substance abuse counselor (CADC, CRADC, CRASDC, or CCDP) and/or relevant licensure (PLPC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW) is required, or currently pursuing.
