Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including health and pain assessments, vital sign monitoring, and daily care for individuals at the Crisis Stabilization Center.
- Administer medications, oversee self-administration, and manage medication records including the MAR.
- Provide education to patients and families on health matters and medication use.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated care for individuals in behavioral crisis.
- Document and report changes in patients’ behavior, attitude, and physical condition.
- Assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures while also training new staff on protocols.
- Attend team and leadership meetings as required.
- Participate in mandatory overtime when necessary.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills.
- Strong cognitive, organizational, and emotional capabilities to manage multiple stressors effectively.
- Experience in providing direct patient care to adults, particularly in high-stress situations.
- Associate's degree in nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Valid LPN or RN licensure in Missouri is required.
- A minimum of one year of psychiatric care experience; background in hospital or acute care settings is preferred.
