The Crisis Line Clinician provides immediate person-centered assistance via the Compass Disaster Line. The Crisis Line Clinician is responsible for quickly identifying each caller's needs and directing callers to intake services, existing providers, and other resources, as clinically appropriate.
- This position is scheduled overnight, 12a-8a on Sunday and Monday. This is a remote position open to Missouri residents.
Responsibilities of the Crisis Line Clinician :
Provide person-centered and trauma informed services when speaking with callersProvide clinically appropriate crisis interventions over the phoneComplete Provides Zero Suicide screening and work to identify each caller's needs in a timely mannerAttend monthly meetings and weekly clinical supervision with Crisis Line SupervisorMaintain agreed upon level of productivityProvide culturally competent services to meet the unique cultural needs of each callerBe knowledgeable of all services provided within Compass HealthBe knowledgeable of other human / social services agencies for purposes of referral if Compass is unable to provide a service and maintain documentation of such referralMaintain client records, following agency and state regulationsEnsure all documentation is written in proficient and professional mannerRefer and coordinate with mobile outreach team, as necessaryCollaborate and communicate with caller's multi-disciplinary treatment teamFlexibility with shifts may be requiredMake follow-up calls to callers, as required (follow up clinicians)Review follow-up referrals and complete outgoing calls, as required (follow up clinicians)Be knowledgeable of other human / social services agencies for purposes of referral if Compass is unable to provide a service and maintain documentation of such referral, as required (follow up clinicians)Screen for safety, identify immediate needs, provide education on resources and services available, and complete coordination and referral with other programs within Compass Health, as required (follow up clinicians)Other duties as assigned by supervisorAssociate degree requiredBachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related field preferredAt least one (1) year of experience in behavioral health or human services if Associate degree is the highest degree obtainedWorking knowledge of DSM-V requiredCompass Health Network is a nonprofit health care organization offering accessible, comprehensive, & compassionate behavioral health, substance use treatment, family medicine and dental services throughout Missouri.
