Crisis Nurse (LPN/RN) - Center PRN

Job Overview

Join our compassionate team at Compass Health Network as a Nurse LPN/RN at our Crisis Center Stabilization Center, where you will play a critical role in delivering direct and indirect patient care in a psychiatric context. This PRN position requires flexibility to work across all shifts and days, ensuring our commitment to quality care in response to the urgent needs of our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, including health assessments, pain assessments, vital signs, and daily care for individuals at the Crisis Stabilization Center.
• Administer medications, oversee medication administration, and manage the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
• Educate patients and their families regarding physical health and medication management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Document observable changes in patients’ behavior and physical condition.
• Support staff with diagnostic and treatment procedures, and mentor new employees on protocols.
• Actively participate in team meetings and leadership discussions.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficient verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills.
• Strong cognitive, organizational, and emotional capabilities to manage multiple stressors and challenging situations.
• Ability to provide direct patient care to adults, particularly in high-stress environments.
  
  

Qualifications

• An Associate's degree in nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of psychiatric experience is required, with additional experience in a hospital or acute care setting being advantageous.
• Valid LPN or RN licensure in Missouri is essential.
