Key Responsibilities
- Strategically plan, organize, and oversee the operations of the medication clinic.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Clinical Doctors and Customer Relations Specialists, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conduct medication education sessions with clients and assess their medication refill needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation for the electronic health record (EHR) related to medication clinic activities and psychiatric consultations.
- Administer intramuscular (IM) medications, manage medication samples, and uphold meticulous logs for all medications received and dispensed.
- Assist with prior authorizations and maintain current records of injections, discussing any potential side effects with clients.
- Perform vital signs checks for all clients and facilitate pre-diabetes screening when required.
- Adapt to various clinics and regions as cross-training opportunities arise, with travel coordinated by the Supervisor.
- Prepare for minimal to frequent schedule changes as necessary.
- Strong communication capabilities to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Proficient organizational skills for managing medication clinics.
- Basic computer proficiency with an emphasis on accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
- Knowledge in administering IM medications and handling associated documentation.
- High School diploma or GED is essential.
- An Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
- Licensure/certification: GPN, LPN, GN, or RN, with the requirement to pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
