Outpatient Nurse - LPN with Sign-On Bonus

Job Overview

Compass Health Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse - Outpatient to join our team. This role is critical in delivering quality healthcare services to our community, with a particular focus on a whole-person approach to patient care. In recognition of the urgent need for healthcare professionals, we are offering a generous sign-on bonus of up to $4,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including taking medical histories and vital signs, accurately documenting findings in patient charts.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms with requisite instruments and supplies.
• Perform medical procedures such as venipunctures, urinalysis, and EKGs as directed.
• Administer immunizations and various injections to patients.
• Provide education and instruction to patients regarding their health and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners in preparing for minor surgical procedures and physical examinations.
• Assist in managing patient appointments, scheduling tests, and coordinating treatments.
• Maintain patient files and records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Engage in effective triage of patient inquiries and requests, ensuring timely communication and care.
• Conduct follow-up calls to patients recently discharged from the hospital to review care plans and medication reconciliation.

• Proficient in clinical procedures including history taking and vital sign assessment.
• Familiarity with healthcare technology software is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Practical Nursing certificate (LPN) is mandatory.
• Candidates must possess an RN, LPN, or GPN and pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
