Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including taking medical histories and vital signs, accurately documenting findings in patient charts.
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms with requisite instruments and supplies.
- Perform medical procedures such as venipunctures, urinalysis, and EKGs as directed.
- Administer immunizations and various injections to patients.
- Provide education and instruction to patients regarding their health and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners in preparing for minor surgical procedures and physical examinations.
- Assist in managing patient appointments, scheduling tests, and coordinating treatments.
- Maintain patient files and records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Engage in effective triage of patient inquiries and requests, ensuring timely communication and care.
- Conduct follow-up calls to patients recently discharged from the hospital to review care plans and medication reconciliation.
- Proficient in clinical procedures including history taking and vital sign assessment.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology software is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.

- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Practical Nursing certificate (LPN) is mandatory.
