This position involves supervising direct patient care nursing staff, Nurse Care Managers, and providing administrative oversight to the Behavioral Health Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage clinical support staff operations while ensuring effective coordination of services and communication across program components.
- Guarantee adherence to licensing and accrediting standards established by HRSA, DMH, NCQA, CARF, and others.
- Supervise laboratory operations and enforce compliance with CLIA and OSHA regulations.
- Oversee Pharmaceutical Patient Assistance Applications, sample medications, vaccines, and ensure accurate documentation of medication-related activities.
- Manage the ordering and storage of medications and medical supplies, in compliance with agency policies and procedures, including proper refrigeration monitoring.
- Engage actively in the agency’s Quality Improvement program and participate in PDSA cycles for process enhancement.
- Stay informed about updates to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance carriers concerning covered services and pre-authorization processes as they relate to high-quality patient care.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation and reporting of all incidents.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations and contribute to the recruitment, hiring, and training of nursing staff.
- Ensure that staff members consistently deliver outstanding customer service, as per training guidelines.
- Collaborate with CSR supervisors and healthcare providers to facilitate smooth and efficient clinic operations for patients.
- Strong leadership and management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient understanding of electronic health records and medical terminology.
- Ability to maintain compliance with licensing and accrediting standards.

- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in nursing is required; a Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
- At least two (2) years of management experience in a medical outpatient clinic setting is required.
- Familiarity with medical outpatient office processes, terminology, and equipment is a must.
- Proficiency in electronic health records and Microsoft Office programs is essential.
