This position is essential in navigating the complexities of their child’s requirements, while offering indispensable moral support during critical moments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and coaching to families to enhance their understanding of their child’s needs.
- Attend necessary meetings and training sessions.
- Assist families in cultivating beneficial relationships with team members involved in child and family care.
- Connect families with relevant support groups and community resources.
- Offer valuable materials, including videos, books, articles, or online resources.
- Provide emotional support during crises and critical times.
- Aid families in preparing for meetings.
- Engage in additional activities as designated by the treatment team and family.
- Ensure timely submission of required documentation, including collaboratively completed progress notes within a 24-hour timeframe.
- Contribute to the creation of individualized service plans tailored to family needs.
- Collaborate effectively with the IHS, following direction from the CPRC Youth Supervisor.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Capability to offer emotional and moral support.
- Familiarity with community resources and support groups.
- Experience in fostering relationships with families and team members.
- Understanding of emotional and behavioral disorders.
- Must be a family member of a child who has been diagnosed with or currently has a behavioral or emotional disorder.
- A resident of Missouri for a minimum of two (2) years is required.
- High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
