Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing assessments as mandated by contractual obligations.
- Monitor health needs and post-acute withdrawal symptoms.
- Engage with consumers regarding medical concerns and provide triage for medication conditions during treatment.
- Coordinate medication appointments and liaise with attending physicians as necessary.
- Manage medical emergencies and address special dietary requirements based on medical conditions.
- Assist consumers in accessing essential mental health services, including accompanying them to appointments.
- Review medication requirements, confirm prescriptions with physicians or pharmacies, and educate consumers on medications.
- Oversee the self-administration of medications and conduct training for staff on relevant protocols.
- Carry out blood draws and coordinate laboratory orders as needed.
- Facilitate psycho-educational groups related to health issues and provide medical in-services for staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Proficient in nursing assessments and medication management.
- Strong ability to monitor health needs and conditions effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to educate consumers on medication practices.
- Knowledge of dietary considerations linked to medical conditions.
- Experience in coordinating staff training and managing medical emergencies.
- An Associate’s degree in nursing is required; a Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
- LPN licensure in Missouri is required; RN licensure is preferred. Candidates with a Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN) status must pass the Missouri NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
