Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the organization and management of the Medication Clinic.
- Adapt to frequent scheduling changes and provide nursing coverage at neighboring clinics as needed.
- Educate clients on medication through comprehensive review of medication education sheets.
- Serve as a Case Manager for clients requiring medication refills.
- Complete essential documentation related to the medication clinic and psychiatric consultations.
- Administer intramuscular medications, dispense sample medications, and maintain accurate medication logs.
- Assist in the completion of prior authorizations for medications.
- Maintain an organized list of injections, coordinate their ordering and delivery, and discuss any potential side effects with clients.
- Conduct vital sign assessments and manage the prediabetes screening process.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer usage and relevant software.
- Strong organizational abilities and adaptability to scheduling changes.
- Proficient in medication education and case management.
- Capable of maintaining precise documentation and medication logs.
- Experience in administering medications and taking vital signs effectively.
- Solid computer literacy and familiarity with healthcare software.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A Practical Nursing Certificate or an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Licensure/Certification: LPN, RN, or GPN/GN required, with the condition of passing the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
