Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our esteemed team at Compass Health Network, focusing on providing exceptional care in a psychiatric setting. This full-time position requires working 36 hours a week on a weeknight schedule, including a 12-hour shift on Monday from 7:30 pm to 8:00 am and shifts from 12:00 am to 8:00 am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and fostering a therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver both direct and indirect patient care in accordance with established standards of Professional Nursing Practice.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and services for clients effectively.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to diverse age groups, including preadolescents, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Participate in physical intervention techniques when necessary and manage care for aggressive patients.
• Act as a preceptor and educator to new staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Engage in the hospital's Continuous Quality Improvement Program and attend mandatory continuing education sessions.
• Fulfill designated responsibilities in accordance with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, including potential mandatory overtime.

Qualifications

• An Associate's degree in nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Preferred experience includes at least one year in psychiatric nursing.
• Current RN or GN licensure, with the requirement to pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
