Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care to assigned age groups
- Engage collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective coordination of care
- Participate in physical intervention techniques as needed when working with aggressive patients
- Act as a mentor and educator for new staff members
- Involve yourself in the hospital’s Continuous Quality Improvement Program
- Commit to attending 52 hours of continuing education annually
- Serve on assigned committees to contribute to the hospital's mission
- Demonstrate the essential skills of a registered nurse within the scope of practice
- Proficiency in providing age-appropriate care for a diverse patient demographic
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within healthcare teams
- Physical capability to perform tasks requiring strength, agility, and endurance, including lifting and transporting patients
- A valid RN license in Missouri is required
- An Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in nursing is also required
- Previous experience in psychiatric nursing is preferred, but not mandatory
