Key Responsibilities
- Share personal recovery experiences, modeling effective recovery behaviors for clients.
- Assist individuals in recognizing their capacity for resilience and self-advocacy.
- Facilitate connections between clients and community resources while building support networks.
- Aid individuals in identifying their strengths and setting realistic recovery goals.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to provide valuable input on Wellness Plans and decisions.
- Engage in required training and mentorship until full certification is attained, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Support clients with transportation as needed to facilitate access to services.
- Lived experience in recovery from behavioral health or substance use disorders.
- Ability to empower individuals through the sharing of recovery tools and strategies.
- Proficiency in networking and connecting clients to community supports.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with clients and team members.
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development in the field.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must self-identify as a current or former consumer of behavioral health, substance use, or co-occurring disorder services.
- Completion of a state-approved training program and certification within 60 days of hire.
- Valid driver’s license and appropriate automobile coverage as required by agency policy.
