Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care while adhering to established standards of Professional Nursing Practice.
- Collaborate effectively as a member of the interdisciplinary team, responsible for the coordination of care and services for clients.
- Provide education to patients and families in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Demonstrate the ability to offer age-appropriate care to various demographics including preadolescents, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Engage in physical intervention techniques when necessary while managing aggressive patients.
- Participate in the hospital's Continuous Quality Improvement Program and serve on assigned committees.
- Commit to ongoing professional development through the completion of 52 hours of continuing education annually.
- Perform other duties as assigned and act as a Preceptor for new employees.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities.
- Strong verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills.
- Cognitive and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and respond to high-pressure situations.
- Physical strength and endurance necessary for patient handling and equipment movement.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- An Associate's degree in nursing is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of psychiatric experience is preferred.
- Valid LPN license in Missouri or GPN, with the requirement to pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
