Compass Health is currently looking for an Mental Health Therapist (Clinician I or Clinician II) for our Snohomish Expanded Community Services. This position provides a range of clinically indicated services including but not limited to individual psychotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and case management services for adults/older adults with behavioral health conditions. This position is responsible for assessing client functioning and needs, and partnering with the client to develop an individually tailored care plan designed to promote recovery. This position may also provide clinical support to Interns as appropriate.
The team you will be joining
ECS provides behavioral counseling and community support services to eligible clients relocating from State psychiatric hospitals, or who are at risk of going to a hospital. The goal of the treatment team is to allow clients to remain in the community and increase the quality of their life.
Clients are usually adults with behavioral challenges that threaten their placements at Adult Family Homes or Skilled Nursing Facilities. We provide, MH OP services, Behavioral Support, and prescribing services. The program is an outreach program including prescribing services.
Clients are referred through DSHS Housing & Community Services and Western State Hospital. Services are in Snohomish county.
The ECS team includes mental health professional clinician, psychiatric nurse practitioner and geriatric mental health specialist who provide ongoing services in nursing homes and adult family homes that maintain the individual in their residential setting.
What you will bring with you
BA/BS/BSW Degree or MA/MS/MSW in a Behavioral Science related field.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Evidence-Based Practices, or interest and ability to learn.
Individuals who do not already hold a license or associate license through the Washington State Department of Health must submit an Agency Affiliated Counselor application upon hire and be approved by the DOH.
Current First Aid & CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Valid Washington State Drivers License including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable.
Possess a strong knowledge of potential local resources and supports.
Ability to work effectively with individuals with complex needs and multi-system involvement.
Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.
Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
General computer proficiency, including the ability to interface with multiple electronic monitoring systems and utilize electronic medical
record systems.
Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check, which may or may not include an additional search by DSHS.
