What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Assessor - Master Level - Hospital Intake 2nd Shift position at Compass Intervention Center?
Responsibilities include: Admission Assessor oversees the assessment, referral and admission activities of the department and provides telephonic and in person assessments and, initial contact with referral sources and potential clients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care and maintains communication with referral sources, families, clients and unit staff.
The Position Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited LPN/RN program or Master's degree in Social Work or other related field. Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting. Adequate knowledge regarding appropriate levels and focus of care as related to psychiatric, emotional, or behavioral problems is required. Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
