The Certified Recreational Therapist is responsible for assessing client’s leisure and recreational activities, providing age and developmentally appropriate therapy groups and establishing behavioral treatment goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Compass Intervention Center. The Certified Recreational Therapist creates a safe environment for clients, provides direct supervision of clients, empowers clients, and teaches new tools for coping to clients.

Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Sports Management, Leisure Management, Recreational Therapy or other related field.
- Certified Recreational Therapist (CTRS) required.
- One year experience in working with a mental health population. Prefer Activity Therapy experience.
- Prefer knowledge of group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management..
