About the Company
Compass Intervention Center is seeking a Clinical Program Director. This position has overall responsibility for managing, coordinating, supervising, and implementing treatment programs and the delivery of services in an effective manner for each clinical unit of the hospital. The DCS works closely with the Medical Director, as well as the other medical staff, to ensure that the hospital delivers a high level of therapy services that meets the patients’ needs and follows all regulatory standards. Works closely with the Business Development Director to market the hospital to referral sources and to ensure appropriate and effective communication back to referral sources about patients they have referred to the hospital. Hires and supervises staff to ensure a productive team that operates with high morale. The DCS works cooperatively with other management team members to ensure that each patient has a positive clinical experience with the best possible outcome.
About the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited too :
Develops and implements a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the clinical program and to identify areas for improvement.
Ensures that all clinical program activities comply with all regulatory standards.
Ensures that the clinical program operates within the approved budget, including FTE and overtime management.
Reviews therapy documentation by Therapists and Recreation Therapists and reports data to the Performance Improvement Committee on a regular basis.
Monitors effectiveness of treatment modalities and implement necessary changes as recommended by the Professional Staff.
Ensures that all appropriate clinical information is transmitted to referring Physicians and Therapists.
In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources, interviews and hires clinical staff, including Therapists, Recreation Therapists, and Discharge Planner.
Ensures all clinical staff receives department orientation and other appropriate training.
Provides direct supervision and coaching of clinical staff, including Therapists, Recreation Therapists, and Discharge Planner assuring all assigned duties are performed properly.
Functions as the Administrator-on-call as needed and takes calls for special facility needs.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field with at least three (3) years’ experience working with adolescents.
Must have prior supervisor experience in healthcare setting, preferably in an inpatient setting.
Must have a current licensure by the State of Tennessee as a Clinical Social Worker or LPC.
Demonstrated history of leading / managing to establish performance metrics, including quality, quantity and cost.
Demonstrated leadership in driving operational efficiency through workflow design, organizational alignment, technology, and workforce planning.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and retain a high performing workforce.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills.
