Compressed Natural Gas Technician

Position Summary

Compass Natural Gas Partners, headquartered in Harrisburg, PA, is an independent natural gas distribution company. We source natural gas, compress it at our terminal, and deliver it by truck to our customers in Pennsylvania and neighboring states.

The Service Technician will assist in manufacturing, installation and maintaining Compressed Natural Gas equipment, including company owned facilities and customer. Training will be provided as needed. Job duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Core Job Responsibilities

· Fabricate metal items using various techniques, such as welding, drilling, grinding, and sawing.

· Read and interpret technical drawings.

· Troubleshoot issues with the fabrication or equipment.

· Mechanical and electrical experience required.

· Industrial piping experience

· Perform electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to wiring and electrical part replacement.

· Works with other members of the team to execute and complete assigned tasks.

· Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

· Ensuring all safety rules and safe work procedures are followed.

Education and Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Two-year Associate Degree in any trade related field preferred.

· Valid Driver’s License required.

· Available to work weekends/nights/holidays.

· Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the job including climbing stairs and lifting 30-50 pounds.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position requires no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Full-Time position. Standard shift is four 10-hour shifts(Tuesday-Friday); Overtime as needed.

Travel

There is little travel associated with this position.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
