Assistant Logistics Manager / Forklift Driver

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

· Pull orders and load trailers.

• Load trailers according to shipping schedule.
• Create shipping paperwork & review priorities.
• Conduct cycle counts on inventory as needed or requested.
• Review Proposed top-up watchlist daily and prioritize and approve Inventory top-ups as needed.
• Communicate with necessary employees to avoid problems between shift changes.
• Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures and good housekeeping.

Additional duties when needed

• Coordinate with customers for delivery times and pickups as necessary.
• Schedule daily deliveries in a cost effective and efficient manner.
• Schedule out of state LTL & truckload deliveries as necessary.
• Printing daily load schedule and communicating special circumstances with loader/checkers and communicate start times and special delivery circumstances with drivers.
• Assist drivers with delivery address issues as needed.
• Coordinate with customers & Drivers about quality returns & paperwork.
• Coordinate with offsite warehouse about daily outbound loads, emergency same day shipments, cycle counts, quality returns / issues, outsource inbounds to warehouse & returns to Compass.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
