Compass Pain and Wellness is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) to join our dynamic healthcare team and lead our Functional Restoration Program (FRP). The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals suffering from acute and chronic pain. This role offers the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary setting alongside specialists in Pain Management, Physical Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, Acupuncture, Massage, and Chiropractic.
We're a mission-driven practice with the goal of eliminating barriers to quality care. We serve primarily industrial medicine (Workers' Compensation) patients with delayed recovery chronic pain issues. We provide inspired treatment at the forefront of the biopsychosocial model to help people overcome their chronic pain and return to the things they love most.
Our ideal psychologist will be excited about learning how to build and administer an FRP program. Experience in Workers' Compensation or FRPs is a plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients with chronic and acute pain conditions.
- Lead group classes about pain management strategies, coping skills, and preventive care.
- Perform one-on-one psychological assessments and treatment to chronic pain patients.
- Collaborate with MDs, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Understand relevant treatment guidelines to get patients authorized for services.
- Draft compelling medical reports and evaluations.
- Ph.D or Psy.D in clinical psychology from an accredited institution (board certification a plus).
- Valid medical license to practice in California.
- Experience with chronic pain patients and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment methods.
- Experience in Workers' Compensation or with Functional Restoration Programs a plus, but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
