We are looking for someone to fill our Lead Dental Assistant position. We are a small Family Dental practice. We see patients of all ages and for all types of procedures. We are open Mon-Thurs 8-5pm and some Fridays 8-2pm. We need someone who is not only an expert DA but that can motivate and guide our clinical team.
The lead dental assistant will be expected to provide oversight, leadership and be a mentor to fellow clinical staff.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Lead DA will fulfill all duties normally expected of a Dental assistant including : prepping clinical areas for procedures, sterilizing instruments, escorting patients, radiographs, intraoral scans / photos, impressions, assisting doctor during dental procedures, temp crowns, retraction cord etc. but will also be responsible for the following :
- Organize and maintain inventory of dental materials and supplies
- Oversee proper maintenance of dental equipment
- Coordinate necessary repairs / purchase of dental equipment
- Coordinate all dental lab related requirements
- Ensure office is up to date on all compliance regulations and standards
- Be prepared to lead / assist in management of medical emergencies
- Coordinate with OM to achieve and maintain proper staff requirements and training
- Ensure that the functionality and efficiency of the clinical team and to help the office reach goals set forth by administration
