Position Summary:
The Transload Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of transloading activities across one or more sites. This role provides leadership in safety, productivity, customer service, staffing, and growth strategy, ensuring transload operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily operations of transloading sites, including personnel, equipment, scheduling, and safety compliance.
• Ensure safe and efficient transfer of bulk liquids, dry goods, hazardous materials, and other commodities between railcars, trucks, and storage facilities.
• Supervise and support transload leaders, crew members, and technical staff through clear direction, coaching, and performance management.
• Monitor KPIs such as throughput, safety incidents, dwell time, and labor efficiency; develop action plans for improvement.
• Oversee training programs and ensure all employees are qualified and compliant with OSHA, FRA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with EHS personnel to lead site audits, incident investigations, and corrective action planning.
• Serve as primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring service reliability, issue resolution, and retention.
• Coordinate with railroads, carriers, and vendors to align transload schedules and optimize site operations.
• Manage site budgets, approve expenditures, and recommend capital improvements for equipment or infrastructure.
• Enforce company policies, standards, and expectations for safety, quality, and professionalism.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in logistics, safety, or industrial operations preferred.
• 5 years of experience in rail, transload, terminal, or logistics operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong working knowledge of transloading processes, hazardous materials handling, and applicable regulatory compliance (FRA, DOT, OSHA, EPA).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, manage, and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with pumps, valves, compressors, loading arms, and other transloading equipment.
• Proficient with operational software, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic reporting tools.
• Willingness to travel to support multiple transload sites or remote operations as needed.
