Job Description:
Compassion Behavioral Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Full-Time Nurse (LPN or RN) to work 12-hour shifts, three days a week. This position will require availability for weekend shifts, with scheduling options of Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday. The nurse will be an integral part of our residential mental health treatment team, providing quality care to patients in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and monitor patients for therapeutic effectiveness or adverse reactions.
- Conduct nursing assessments and contribute to the development of individualized care plans for each patient.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff, to deliver patient-centered care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, behavioral changes, and responses to treatment.
- Provide immediate medical intervention and crisis support in the event of an emergency.
- Assist with admissions, including completing intake assessments and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Educate patients on medication management, wellness strategies, and recovery support as part of ongoing care.
- Promote a therapeutic environment, fostering trust and respect among patients, families, and staff.
- Maintain compliance with all clinical guidelines and regulations, including HIPAA and Joint Commission standards.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted LPN or RN license in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in mental health or behavioral health.
- Proficient in medication administration, patient assessments, and crisis management.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and compassion.
- Flexibility to work a Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday schedule, including holidays when needed.
